Payments are for actual charges up to the maximum amount of $3,600 per semester and are paid directly to the school. Payments will not be made by The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation until billings are received from the university. For some schools, this can be as late as November. If you receive a notice for unpaid tuition, check with your financial aid office to see if they have billed the Foundation and have not yet received payment.
If you transfer to a different Nebraska public university, college or community college, your scholarship will continue provided you:
- Have notified the Foundation in advance of your transfer
- Have followed all rules in maintaining your grades
It is the responsibility of the student to reimburse The Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation for any dropped classes that have already been paid for by the Foundation.
In most instances, your following semester's tuition will be reduced by this amount.
You must notify the Foundation immediately of any change in name, address, phone number or e-mail as long as you are receiving a Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship. All correspondence will be done via e-mail so it is imperative that we have your current e-mail address on file.
